From Personal Struggles to Empowering Solutions
At 14, Esther Uzodinma was nicknamed “Esau’s daughter”, the hairiest girl in school. Struggling with hirsutism caused by hormonal imbalance, she endured painful, ineffective hair removal routines that left her skin damaged, which built low self-esteem. One day in the bathroom, she imagined a better way, and EsteBare was born. Driven by her own journey, Esther partnered with dermatologists and skin experts to create a gentle, effective hair removal solution for melanin-rich skin. EsteBare is the care she once needed, now made for everyone who deserves better.
Our History
July 2024
It started with a pain point, something personal. We knew Black skin deserved better. So we dared to dream and began building EsteBare.
Dec 2024
We formulated our first product. Tested it. Listened. Tweaked it. Until we got it just right, gentle, effective, and made for us.
Jan 2025
We got our first “yes”! Winning a seed fund gave us the push we needed to keep building and believing in this dream.
May 2025
Momentum grew fast. Over 1000 people joined our waitlist. The vision was spreading, EsteBare was becoming a movement and a safe space.
June 2025
EsteBare is now live for every Black person seeking a gentle way to feel good in their skin. a movement birthed from African soil to global doors.

“EsteBare is the mark of every true fighter. I gave up myself for this brand, and the vision of seeing melanin-rich women enjoy beauty continues to fuel this mission.
From hiding, repulsing the reflection of myself in the mirror, from what I got bullied about, to building one of Africa’s biggest beauty UNICORNS. (because that is what this is).
To every young girl, boy, and even adult reading this, I say to you, dare to dream. Conceive it, execute it. We are born fighters in Africa. It’s in our DNA to BECOME. The fullest and biggest versions of ourselves, and make sure you look good while at it.
